Josh is a self-proclaimed scaredy-cat nerd who enjoys superhero, sci-fi and horror movies way too much. Initially avoiding horror movies like the plague through his teens, he slowly became a lover of the genre via Paris Hilton’s iconic film debut in House of Wax. The 2018 reboot of Halloween made Josh realize that horror movies aren’t that much different from superhero films with the Easter eggs and meta commentary. And thus, Super Scary was born!

When he isn’t running for his life from podcast-editing, Josh loves traveling with his husband Frank. His preferred ASMR is watching the Real Housewives franchises. He also enjoys playing RPG video games, like Final Fantasy and Persona 5.

Frank, husband of the pod

​Frank is Josh’s husband and one of the executive producers for the podcast! He enjoys helping Josh plan behind-the-scenes, but you can hear him on the Valentine’s Day 2023 episode on Insidious, one of their favorite movies!

​Irene brings all the Twilight references to the table when she’s featured on the pod. You can hear Irene featured on the Twilight and Scream episodes!

Emaleigh, sister of the pod
she/her/hers

​Emaleigh (pronounced like Emily) is one of Josh’s two sisters, who just happens to be a big fan of horror movies! You can listen to Emaleigh share hot takes with Josh on the Hocus Pocus, Black Christmas, and The Purge episodes.

Janice, cousin of the pod
she/her/hers

While Janice doesn't particularly enjoy scary movies, she braves it with the best when she comes onto the show! You can catch Janice on the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Leprechaun, and Cloverfield episodes.
